Strawberry Picking

Strawberry Picking

For memorial day we went to a farm and picked strawberries. The girls had a really good time and picked a few pounds of strawberries. Andrea is in the process of making some ice cream and other strawberry delights this evening.

It took them a few minutes to get into it but once they did they were doing a really good job at picking the red ones.

Laura has a really big, juicy one.

"This is heavy!"

Rachel lost interest after a while and took to blowing the gigantic dandelions that shared the garden with the strawberries.

Rachel is a "pistol"

Like her MawMaw says - she is a "pistol."

Here are a couple of pictures of Rachel after she has just gotten into Mommy's purse. Andrea almost gave me a heart attack because she yelled "OH NO RACHEL" and then "CHAD COME DOWN HERE, HURRY!"

School is over!

Wahoo! School is over for the next weeks.

We went home last week because my grandmother went to be with the Lord. It was sad to say good-bye to her for now but I know we will see her again. I will post a tribute to her on this blog soon. What a great Mother, Grandmother, and Christian example.

Laura's first official haricut

Laura finally got her first official haircut today. We took her to this place called "Cookie Cutters" and she did great. She is sitting in a Barbie car and watching "The Tigger Movie" - that helped alot I think. Her hair looks good - but seeing her with a shorter haircut made her look more grown up - I don't know if I like that part very much. Her hair is a little longer than shoulder length and most of the curl was cut out of it too. Hopefully the curls will come back!
